SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.

The Alberton branch is situated in the town of Alberton, in the East Rand of the Gauteng Province. This town has multiple access roads to all major freeways in Gauteng, notably the R59, N3 and N12, making access to the branch convenient for taxpayers using private and public transport. Parking is limited, but taxpayers can park outside the office at no charge. The branch is usually busy throughout the day, and we are busiest between 11h00 and 14h00. A taxi rank and convenience stores are situated approximately 2 km away from the branch.

- Dedicated Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (SMME’s) service desk. To qualify as an SMME, you need to be the actual owner with a per annum business turnover of between R0 and R20 million.
