SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.
See eDNA Identity Security for more information.
The Soweto (Dube) branch is positioned in the heart of the South Western Townships, one of the urban areas of the city of Johannesburg in Gauteng. Staff at this branch are fluent in isiZulu, isiXhosa, Xitsonga, Setswana and Northern Sotho (Sepedi). Parking is available for taxpayers. The Dube train station is situated behind the branch and taxis run right through the same street, making the branch accessible by public transport. The branch is designed to accommodate the elderly and disabled.
