SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.

Nelspruit, officially renamed Mbombela, is the capital city of the Mpumalanga province in the eastern region of the country. Staff at the Nelspruit branch is proficient in English, Afrikaans, isiSwati, isiZulu and Xitsonga. Taxpayers have access to free parking at the branch. Peak periods are experienced between 12h00 and 14h00 during Tax Season (1 July – 31 October). Special queues are created for the elderly and people with disabilities and taxpayers commuting on public transport can catch a taxi just outside the branch. Convenience stores are a walking distance from the branch.
