SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.
See eDNA Identity Security for more information.
Our Standerton branch experiences busiest inflows between 10h30 and 14h30 during Tax Season (1 July – 31 October), so if you’re planning to visit us between July and November, plan your schedule around this tip. Our helpful staff speaks English, Zulu, Afrikaans and Southern Sotho (Sesotho), and are willing to go the extra mile in ensuring that your tax matters are dealt with in the language of your choice. The branch offers easy access for elderly and people with disabilities. There is parking in the streets outside the branch, with car guards. The branch is situated 1 km from a public tax rank and 3 km from a hiking spot which leads to Bethal, Ermelo, Johannesburg, Secunda and New Castle. And there is a Shoprite, a Spar and a Wimpy just across the road.
