SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.

The Klerksdorp branch is at its busiest on Wednesday and Fridays during peak periods. Staff at this branch is fluent in all 11 official languages. Although the branch does not have parking available for taxpayers, there are meter parking bays available in the streets around the branch. The branch has dedicated rest rooms for taxpayers. Bus, train and taxi stations are situated a few meters from the branch and since the branch is right in the heart of the city, there are plenty convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
