What we do
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) derives its mandate, to administer the revenue collection system on behalf of the people of South Africa efficiently and effectively, from the South African Revenue Service Act 34 of 1997.
SARS exists to serve the HIGHER PURPOSE of enabling Government to build a democratic state that fosters sustainable economic growth and social development, in the interest and wellbeing of all South Africans.
