SARS has committed itself to refining our service offerings to Embassies. The Embassy Unit was established to manage, guide and optimise the relationship between SARS and the Diplomatic community.
You may contact the Embassy unit on embassies@sars.gov.za.
Locally recruited personnel, being South African citizens or residents, employed by Embassies are subject to normal South African taxation laws. Such persons must comply with their South African tax obligations. This includes, but is not limited to, registering for income tax and submitting returns.
