SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.

The Nigel branch is situated in a small gold mining town in on the edge of the East Rand in Gauteng. With the branch predominantly receiving mining and various heavy industries taxpayers, staff at the branch serves taxpayers in any language of their choice. Parking space is available for taxpayers, and the branch is usually busy from 11h00 until 16h00 during peak periods. Convenience stores and drop-offs for public transport users are approximately 2 km away from the branch.
