SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.

The Richards Bay branch is located in the town of Richards Bay, situated on the coastal plains of the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The branch has adequate parking for taxpayers and staff are friendly and predominantly proficient in isiZulu. During Tax Season (1 July – 31 October), the branch receives increased taxpayer volumes between 08h00 and 12h00. Just a kilometre from the branch, visitors can catch a bus, train and taxi, making for trouble-free access to the branch.

- Dedicated Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (SMME’s) service desk. To qualify as an SMME, you need to be the actual owner with a per annum business turnover of between R0 and R20 million.
