SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.

Our new state-of-the-art Umhlanga Ridge branch is situated in the Umhlanga region, a residential, commercial and resort town north of Durban on the coast of KwaZulu-Natal. This newly developed branch opened its doors to the public in 2013, and the branch offers the normal tax services to the communities of Umhlanga and other surrounding areas of the North Coast. Staff at this branch is fluent in isiZulu and English, and there is ample parking space for taxpayers and a shopping centre a stone’s throw away, giving visitors easy access to the branch via public and private routes.

- Dedicated Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (SMME’s) service desk. To qualify as an SMME, you need to be the actual owner with a per annum business turnover of between R0 and R20 million.
