SARS has introduced eDNA as a security measure in order to minimise the risk of fraudulent transactions as well as to safeguard taxpayer information. This entails that your fingerprints will be captured and authenticated when visiting a SARS branch for certain services.
See eDNA Identity Security for more information.
In Vereeniging, staff are happy to converse with taxpayers in Sesotho as the dominant language of the region. The branch is always busy throughout the day, especially during Tax Season (1 July – 31 October), with an average of 350 taxpayers in the queue between 08h00 and 12h00. The branch has limited parking space, but there are adequate metered parking bays in the streets near the branch. Access to the branch is easy through public transport, with drop-offs a kilometre away. There are no convenience stores nearby, so should you wish to visit us during Tax Season (1 July – 31 October), be sure to bring with a light snack and a drink.
